Homemade MP3 Player

I have just finished building my own Mp3 player, obviously its not quite as slick as an Ipod. But it does have its own charm and it was a great project to work on. It's made from the MAKE magazine mp3 player kit. You get a printed circuit board and all the components you will need to build an open-source mp3 player. Whats also great about the kit is the player takes SD memory cards so you can make your player any size you want. I'm going to start buying 2Gig SD cards (around £10 each online) and load them up with music compilations. After building the Mp3 Player I needed a case for it. I decided I wanted to put it in a hollow book. I followed the really good directions on this site about how to make a hollow book. And last of all I added next, prev, volume up and volume down buttons to the front cover of the book.
